Hi
My name is Jack Duffy. I am 29 years old and I have Autism. I am the Chief Fundraising Officer of
Team Jack Duffy.
I love my family, friends, policemen and firemen. I also love Candy Days because it is the time of year
when I get to ask people to support Misericordia Heart of Mercy.
One day I hope to live at Misericordia where I will be a part of a community and have lots of friends.
Being a Misericordia resident will also give my family peace of mind because I will be given the
opportunity to reach my full potential.
In 2024, 120 donors supported TJD and we raised over $40,000!

As CFO, my Candy Days 2024 goal is to raise $40,000 again. I am hoping over 150 people will help this year! To start us off, I am donating $29.00. It was my birthday money this year from my Godparents.

2024 was another great year. I spent a lot of time with family and friends. I went scuba diving for the
first time in many years. I still remembered all the hand signals, clearing my mask, and to breath
underwater (lots of new divers forget that).

I also went to Disney World with my dad (we go there a lot). I love flying on airplanes and seeing Mickey
and Minnie and the rest of my friends down there. I am going again next month and my cousin Kerry is
joining us. ​It is her first time so I will show her where all the best rides are.

I enjoyed lots of fun activities like swimming, horseback riding, going to movies and the zoo. I visited
many police and fire stations and hung out with all the heroes there. They all know my name!

On January 14, 2025, I turned 29 years old. We had cake and I got lots of presents including firefighter gear. If you ask me how old I will be next year I will say, “I will be 30 years old next year.” I have also been busy in my job as Chief Fundraising Officer at Team Jack Duffy. We really appreciate your support and generosity!

Here is my son Jack and me at Brookfield Zoo. We are frequent visitors to the zoo. Jack loves all the animals but especially the polar bears, grizzly bears, giraffes and hippos. Jack usually visits with the zoo police as well.
